I'm more than happy to mail you a .jpeg of the whole thing, if you are interested. I'd be really interested in finding out if it is the same Ray, as he was Kev McDeadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04979622492313002501noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7810302126094349455.post-29858008162714914972014-06-11T19:06:14.024-07:002014-06-11T19:06:14.024-07:00Bill, I would LOVE to see those character drawings...Bill, I would LOVE to see those character drawings. Bailey continues to be one of my favorite artists. There isn't half enough known about his career. I wonder if anyone out in Internet land ever met him.Smurfswackerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11807173070389349098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7810302126094349455.post-33171985523285611612014-06-11T11:45:21.887-07:002014-06-11T11:45:21.887-07:00I have some original artwork by Ray Bailey. There are 8 original characters drawn.

If you are interested I can e-mail you a pic or post one here if I can figure this out. :)Bill Klatthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16532315162304923396noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7810302126094349455.post-42633219808475494332013-11-28T13:20:45.497-08:002013-11-28T13:20:45.497-08:00This is an interesting question. I haven't seen enough VW to make a blanket statement. The Raven Sherman question is complicated by Caniff having said that Noel Sickles was involved in that story. Perhaps they started out as Sickles Rocks?Smurfswackerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11807173070389349098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7810302126094349455.post-39226424146833134982013-11-28T08:02:19.812-08:002013-11-28T08:02:19.812-08:00I even wonder if Ray Bailey didn't introduce t...I even wonder if Ray Bailey didn't introduce the 'standing rock' to Terry or develope it there. A particular place to look is the whol Raven sequence. My guess is Bailey did the rocks there as well. Today The Stripper's Guide has a Fu Mnchu strip from the Chicago Comic Book from june 1940 that is drawn in a style that looks like a cross between the stiffer Chicago school (ranging Ger Apeldoornhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03633862833036214748noreply@blogger.com
